South East Asia – Investment Opportunities, Tax & Other
Incentives
PwC Vietnam is pleased to announce the publication of a new guide: South East Asia – Investment
Opportunities, Tax & Other Incentives.
ASEAN, with GDP growth rates the envy of the world and a combined population of over 600 million, has
been a magnet increasingly attracting investment from multinational corporations. ASEAN countries
themselves are also seeking investment opportunities in the region in advance of ASEAN Economic
Community (AEC), which is the goal of regional economic integration by 2015. This connectivity will
increase the competitive capability and investment attraction from foreign countries to ASEAN member
countries.
In a collaborative effort, the PwC firms in the ASEAN countries have produced a first-of-its-kind guide to
investing in the region. This new publication first provides a compelling analysis of why ASEAN is one of the
few growth stories in the world economy today, and of the shift occurring in many of the ASEAN nations
from simply manufacturing for export and commodity export economies to more consumer driven
economies fuelled by a rising middle class. It then provides a detailed analysis of the tax and other
incentives offered to investors in each of the ASEAN countries. This publication is a useful tool for both
foreign investors and ASEAN investors seeking to expand in the region in advance of the AEC in 2015.
