Econ 381 is a one semester course in elementary statistics designed for
Economics majors .
Text :
Statistics for Business and Economics, by Paul Newbold, 2nd Edition ,
Prentice Hall, 1988.
Requirements :
(1) There will be two midterms, each contributing 20% to the
course grade, and a final exam contributing 30%.
(2) Problem sets: Weekly problem sets contributing 30% of
the course grade . Toward the end of the course , the problem
sets will require the use of computer.
