• The union was led by Abraham
Lincoln.
• The Confederate was led by General
Robert E. Lee.
New Orleans
• The Battle Of New
Orleans was in 1839.
• British sent between
11,000 and14,450
troops led by Major
General sir Edward.
• United States sent
between 3,500 and
5,000 troops.
Gettysburg
• On July 1st an army of Confederate
solders entered Gettysburg.
• Union sent 15,000 troop to attack the
middle of general Meade's defensive line.
• In the end the union won.

Confederate’s army
from Vicksburg.
• On April 9,Lee
surrendered to Grant
at Appomattox court
house in Virginia.
