of the circle, central to all
angles.
• Major Arc: The arc with
the greatest degree
measure within the circle.
• Minor Arc: The arc with
the degree measure
within the circle.

measure in degrees of
an arc.
• Tangent line: Line(s)
that touch but do not
cross a point.
• Inscribed angle: An
angle with a vertex on a
circle which is made by
tangent lines.
NOTE: Tangent lines in a circle
are perpendicular to the radius.
