What is an Incubation period?
• Once a person has been infected with Hiv,
the virus stays in a person’s body for a long
period of time---sometimes years---before
any symptoms appear.
• The majority of people infected with Hiv
develop Aids and die.

brought on by the invasion of HIV in the
bloodstream that renders a person
susceptible to opportunistic infection that
can eventually cause death.
