The AWS-400 System Introduction

The AWS-400 is 400 Amp Arc-Spray system

The AWS-400 required Low Initial Investment Cost

Designed to operate at the lowest possible
maintenance cost

The AWS-400 is a so-called Push Arc-Spray System

The AWS-400 system uses a robust wire drive motor
located within the control console instead of the gun
head, and therefore, has a bigger the driving force,
resulting in a reliable and more consistent wire feed

Pull-type systems can’t offer the power or the
lightweight (1,15kg) gun head of the AWS-400

The AWS-400 Arc-Spray System offers high
performance and unbeatable power
AWS-400 System Features
AWS-400 Wire Feeder/Control Console

Rugged QuickChange

Four-drive per wire feed mechanism

Coaxial cables reduce weight

Closed-loop, servomotor to drive the wire

The faceplate controls consist of


E-Stop

Power reset

Wire Jog

Maintain Air and Purge Air Switches

Voltage Control

Amperage Control

Digital LED Arc-Voltage and Arc-Amperage displays
Switches are environmentally sealed and rated for one million
operations. All electronics are housed in a NEMA 12 rated enclosure.
AWS-400 System Features
AWS-400 Side Panel Controls

Wire Counter

Time Counter

Remote/Local Voltage Control Switch

Remote/Local Amperage Control Switch

Preflow Adjust

Burnback Adjust

Display Hold Adjust
AWS-400 System Features
AWS-400 Arc-Spray Gun Head

Consumable wire electrodes are fed through the wire guides
and into the Quick Change Wire Guides

Converging/Diverging Air Chamber and Air Cap direct the
high velocity, laminar flow air across the arc zone, and create
optimum atomization, and the perfect spray pattern

Insulated power cables, charged positive and negative,
connect the AWS-400 Gunhead to the AWS-400 Wire Feeder

These insulated coaxial cables also provide an
internalpathway for the consumable wire to reach the wire
guides of the AWS-400 Gunhead

An on/off trigger switch is supplied on the detachable
gunhandle to control the wire feed, compressed air and
contactor of the AWS-400 power supply

The AWS-400 Gunhead is supplied with several hard points
for mounting to robots, gun manipulators and fixtures
Sprays All Wire Types

Hard Wires including: Stainless
Steels, Inconels, 13% Cr-Steel

Cored Wires including: WC, CrC,
NiCrSiB cored wires

Soft wires: including Zinc,
Aluminium, Zinc- Aluminium

SprayTech 06MA.WI.100

Also available are aerospace
approved wires
