THE ASTROLOGY OF
World Events

When I was preparing this lecture, I was originally just
going to concentrate on Uranus, Neptune and Pluto and
do their cycles. I found a bunch of things, but while I was
looking for dates of major events I went back to the 600s for
the rise of Islam. That was a major event…
Then I read on the Web that two years after Mohammed died, the Arabs went
North to attack the Byzantine Empire. They met at the Battle of Yarmouk. Yarmouk
is a river. It is a tributary of the River Jordan. If you know the geography of that
region, it is now the southern boundary of what is called the Golan Heights. And
that is where they met.
The Byzantines outnumbered the Arabs, but most of their troops were
conscripts. The army panicked, ran and got massacred. You can’t run from cavalry.

was the first thing that was invented when Pluto went into Gemini? The
automobile, and then the motorcycle. The same year Benz invented a threewheeled automobile, Daimler invented the motorcycle. The same year! And
then Daimler went one up on Benz; Daimler built the first four-wheel car the
following year. Automobiles—Gemini, short distances.
Neptune was still in Taurus but by the time 1891 rolled around, Jesse
Reno invented the escalator—Gemini. Look at all the things connected with
transportation and communication. The Zeppelin was invented in 1900.
Planck came out with quantum physics in 1900. This was something! Planck
told his young son, “Today I have made a discovery as important as Newton.”
Everybody believed that light was a wave. It was proven. They did
experiments. You could see interference patterns. It’s a wave. Planck comes
out with a theory. You know, it’s also a particle. Nowadays you can’t even
begin to conceive. It was as if he had said that astrology works. They were
practically ostracizing him. He even said later the more he looks into the
matter the more he is convinced that new ideas win out not by the force of
pluto... by the way, is still a planet.
It has a Moon. Idiots. They
never had a Pluto transit. “Gee, I wonder why I feel totally overwhelmed
and suicidal. Could it be because I have Pluto squaring my Sun by transit?”
If you ever feel terrible and drained, it doesn’t so much as make you
suicidal—Pluto—the thoughts go through your head, “Gee, if I were to
drop dead now I’d have such a rest.” I know it hit my Sun, Moon and
Mercury all at once from 1980 to 1982. “By the way, I wonder if Pluto is
doing this.” So I called up other people who had the transit earlier. One
woman said, “Oh yes, that was the year I thought I was being pursued by
demons.” Another person felt that a year of her life had been stolen from
her. Ohhh, Pluto…

homeland. What was Hitler always talking about? The Fatherland. Mussolini.
Tremendous birth of perverted nationalism all around.
Watch out the next time Pluto goes into Cancer, which should be in
another hundred and fifty years. Put that on your calendars. Well, we don’t
have to watch Pluto in Cancer. It is going into Capricorn, the opposite sign, so
that can have a similar effect. When these planets hit the cardinal signs, things
happen. There are upheavals. When they hit the fixed signs, it really goes
deep. It really shakes society in a deep way.
The Advance of Science
Looking at Neptune, remember that Neptune changes everybody’s
heads. When Neptune goes into Pisces, God only knows what the movies
will be like. We won’t even have to go the theater. You’ll take a pill and
watch a movie. Look what the planet Uranus has done. First of all, Uranus
and Neptune were together right after the Napoleonic Wars. That was the
start of the Victorian Era. All of the great figures of the Victorian Era were
