Why do people suffer from Halitosis?

The most common cause is anaerobic gram-negative bacteria. These
bacteria release sulphuric compounds called VSC (volatile sulphuric compounds).

The “smelly” bacteria are living in the fissures of the posterior dorsal 1/3

Q: Is more than one
treatment necessary?
Q: What will happen after the 3 months supplement of ProlacSan® lozenges has
ended? Will the bad breath return? Should I continue taking the lozenges?
A: No, one treatment
is normally sufficient.
A: It is different for each individual. The sulphur emitting bacteria may slowly return
in bigger numbers. It is depending on your life-style, dietary intake, smoking,
medicine, diseases, etc, all the factors that influence your bacterial balance.
Some people have to keep taking the ProlacSan® lozenges to keep the bad
bacteria away.
Others only need one or two per week instead of one a day, and some do not
need to continue taking ProlacSan®.
