Transcript
The 8873 is a compact high-mu power triode
intended for use in zero bias Class B or AB amplifiers in audio or radio frequency applications, but
may also be used in Class C service or as a pulse
modulator or regulator. The 8873 is designed for
conduction cooling and is nominally rated for 200
watts of anode dissipation. A beryllium oxide thermal link is available to insulate the anode from the
heat sink while allowing for heat conduction from
the anode to the sink. Operation with zero bias
simplifies associated circuitry by eliminating the
bias supply. In addition, grounded grid operation
is attractive since a power gain as high as twenty
can be obtained.
