for travelers that require power to charge their personal electronic
devices (PED’s). Charging your PED’s has never been easier with our
compact, light weight USB power products. These high power charging
ports will charge electronic devices such as GPS, smart phone,
multimedia player and tablets. This design features intelligent charging
control circuitry capable of configuring the “DATA +” and “DATA –“ pins
for charging devices that utilize many varying charging formats. These
ports have been DO-160G tested with a waterproofness of category Y
and emission of radio frequency energy of catergory M. We offer a variety
of options including front and rear mount designs, along with offering

Mid Continent Controls manufactures a wide variety of AC Outlets and Data Ports that meet and exceed
the standards set by the aviation industry. Our newest product combines both products lines into one
assembly that is a true drop in replacement to most existing universal AC outlets we currently offer. This
gives our customers quick upgrade options that provide a noticeable improvement to the customer
experience, with little to no extra work. The universal AC outlet incorporated into this product has all the
same safety features we offer on our existing universal AC outlets. One of the major features included is
a remote turn on switching function that provides a signal to the AC controller when a device has been
inserted into the outlet. This feature allows the outlet to only have AC present when there is a device
plugged into the outlet. As a standard feature, a pair of “Type A” USB ports are included for charging all
USB compatible electronic devices. Each port is capable of supplying enough current to charge any
device from a smart phone to and iPad or other tablet. As a secondary option, one of the “Type A” charging USB ports can be a USB 2.0 compliant data port allowing connectivity of a USB device into any
system. A soft aesthetic blue glow will allow the outlet and USB ports to be located in the darkest of
areas without creating a harsh light. A version with a plated lid will be offered as an alternative to the
plated bezel to match any existing installations.

Mid Continent Controls offers a Cabin AC Power System that is specifically designed to
operate within the aircraft environment. Current is supplied to the system by the
aircrafts' AC power inverter, with our power controller providing 110/220V current
limitations to the AC outlet via a circuit breaker. An AC plug must first be inserted into
the outlet before the remote turn-on signal of the power controller is energized, thus
permitting the unit to turn on and allow AC current to be available. When an AC plug is
absent or has been removed from the outlet after use, the controller's remote turn-on
signal terminates power to the device. For additional protection, the dust cover of the
outlet closes to prohibit accidental insertion of foreign objects. In the event of a ground
fault at the AC outlet, our Ground Fault Interrupter is designed to instantly stop the flow
of electricity, thus preventing serious injury. A ground fault situation occurs when
electrical current flows through a path other than its intended normal and safe route.
The Cabin AC Power System from Mid Continent Controls may be installed with
optional GFIs, power controllers and AC outlets to accommodate either 110VAC or
220VAC depending on aircraft requirements.

Mid Continent Controls manufactures AC Outlets and Data Ports that meet and exceed
the standards expected by the aviation industry. Our outlets are housed in metal
enclosures that are case grounded to ensure safe operation. The outlets may also be
equipped with a spring-loaded cover for dust and moisture protection. When the outlet
is not in use, the cover will close over the receptacle to assist in preventing accidents.
Our outlets may also be configured with a remote turn on switching function. This
feature provides a control signal to the inverter which will enable the inverter's remote
turn on function. The control signal is activated when a device is plugged into the
outlet. All the features listed above are interchangeable, thus allowing you to configure
our outlets to your particular needs and preferences.

Your passengers want and need the convenience of 110 or 220VAC electrical power in
the cabin to remain productive, use and recharge their PEDs (Portable Electronic
Devices) or just provide a more enjoyable and entertaining in-flight experience. The
question remains; how to supply this electrical power safely? Mid Continent Controls
offers an AC Power Controller which is designed specifically for the aircraft environment
and controls the distribution of AC power to MC2 electrical outlets located within the
aircraft cabin. Simply put, the AC outlets within the cabin of the aircraft are supplied
with current only when the appropriate electrical plug is inserted. Once the plug is
removed, our Power Controller halts the flow of electrical current to the outlet. A remote
turn-on signal from our Power Controller is used to regulate the flow of electrical
current to cabin outlets, and these output control signals are continuously monitored
for fault conditions which will automatically turn off in the event of an unsafe condition.
Additionally, dedicated sensing circuitry constantly monitors the amount of AC current
passing through each output. If any of the output's operational current limits are
exceeded, the unit will disable that individual output and indicate a "tripped" status on
its respective LED. Compact, lightweight and easy to install, AC Power Controllers from
Mid Continent Controls will supply your passengers with the electrical power they need
while providing the safety you demand.

Mid Continent Controls offers Ground Fault Interrupters (GFIs) that are specifically designed for the
aircraft environment. Our GFIs are designed to quickly stop the flow of electricity in the event of a ground
fault, thus preventing serious injury. These GFIs have been tested and verified to trip within 30ms when a
30mA fault is present. These Mid Continent Controls' GFIs also feature a "TEST" button to induce a ground
fault for testing purposes. The GFIs have been designed to work with grounded and non-grounded
inverters. Our GFIs are housed in a rugged aluminum enclosure, featuring status LEDs that indicate any
fault conditions which may be present. These GFIs comply with ANM-01-11-165 response times.
