Job Summary:
A PhD position is available at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Institute
of Biomaterials, within GlaCERCo Initial Training Network, funded by the
Marie Curie actions under the FP7 People Programme from the European
Commission. The deadline for applications is January 10, 2012. The
appointment will be for 3 years, and the successful applicant is expected to
register for a PhD programme at the Department of Materials Science and
Engineering.
Job description:
Design, development and characterisation of new bioactive glass-ceramics
for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications (i.e. bioactive
glass macroporous scaffolds, porous multifunctional bioactive glassbiopolymer composites).The aim is to develop a new family of novel silicate
glass compositions for glass based porous scaffolds for tissue engineering and
drug delivery capability.
