* Your assessment is very important for improving the work of artificial intelligence, which forms the content of this project
Data Mining Group Project* For this group project, you will select any publically-available (and legal!) dataset and “mine” the data using any of the data mining techniques discussed in this course. A list of possible datasets is available on your Blackboard Discussion Board. For your project, you must follow one (and only one) of the following data mining approaches: 1. The “STEPS IN DATA MINING” on pages 19 - 21 in your Shmueli, et al. textbook, OR . . . 2. The CRISP-DM (Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining) On the last night of class (Week 8), your group will present your business problem, your approach, and your findings to the class. All members of the groups must participate in the presentation. *PLEASE NOTE: ABET-CAC Accreditation now requires that group projects be included in ALL CIS courses (including online courses). Please use the online Group/Peer Evaluation form at the end of the semester to evaluate your fellow group members. 10% of each student’s overall course grade will be determined by the Peer Evaluations.
