Lesson One:
1) Islam is a true religion sent to us by Allah.
2) A person who follows Islam is called Muslim.
3) Islam began in Arabia “Makkah” where the prophet
Was born.
4) Muslins believe in one god who is Allah.
5) Allah sent Prophet Mohammad to teach us Islam.
6) Prophet mohammad was the last prophet to be sent by Allah.
7) Muslim’s holy book is the Quran.
8) Muslim’s holiest place is Makkah.
Lesson Two:
1) The pillars of Islam are: Al-Shahadah,Prayers,Fasting,Zakkah,Hajj.
2) Al-Shahadah: to testify that there is no true God but Allah and
Mohammad the last messenger.
3) Prayers: to perform prayers five times a day.
4) Fasting “Sawm”: to fast during the month of Ramadan.
Lesson Three:
1) Angel Jibreel brought the holy book from Allah to Prophet Mohammad. This
Book is the Quran.
2) Quran is Allah’s words. We should read what Allah says in the Quran and
Follow It in order to be a good Muslims.
3) Allah sent the Quran in Arabic language. We should read the Quran in Arabic.
4) The Quran was sent to the prophet in 23 years.
Lesson Four:
Students are expected to memorize Surat Al-Qadr in Arabic only without
transliteration.

The Qiblah is the direction of Kaabah.
Kaabah is in Makkah.
Makkah is in Saudi Arabia.
Muslims face the Qiblah while praying and reading the holy Quran.
Mosques are built in such a way that one side of the building faces the Qiblah.
