RIGHT CONDUCT AT THE ALBUQUERQUE ZEN CENTER
To take refuge in the Sangha means to respect harmony as the basis of human
society, to depend on it, to devote ourselves to it, and to realize it. We offer the
following in the spirit of commitment to a community of practice based on trust,
respect, and true communication.
In our capacities and activities as Ordained members, Board Officers and Board
members, Zendo Officers, and staff and volunteers we are representatives of the
Albuquerque Zen Center. Our activities and interactions with all people, members,
non-members and visitors should be guided by our Buddhist Principles including
especially:
Right Intention
Right Speech
Right Conduct
Through these and the comprehensive Noble Eightfold Path and the Rules and
Regulations for Rinzai Ji Training Centers which we have adopted at the
Albuquerque Zen Center, we commit and seek to deepen our personal practice, to
provide a warm and accepting environment which allows for others to both deepen
their practice and to experience the deep, true value of Buddhism practiced on a
daily basis.
