** A maximum of 60 people can be accommodated in the upper floor annexe rooms
with a degree of flexibility. The main hall can only be used with specific permission in
advance with the theatre manager.
Please note that no spaces other than those listed above can be used for
changing/rehearsal facilities and the maximum capacity must be adhered to.
One licensed chaperone (over 18) must be on site supervising each group of 12
children. Under the hire agreement you agree to deal directly with Education Welfare
Services and have agreed your safeguarding / licensing arrangements with them in
advance of your visit. Rotherham Theatres accepts no responsibility for the
safeguarding of Children on site.
Please ensure that all your company members know that the following must be
adhered to at all times:




Access is via the stage door.
Everyone must sign in on arrival and sign out when leaving backstage. Your
company stage manager will be responsible for ensuring that this happens
(unless otherwise agreed).
Your stage manager will undertake roll call in Catherine Street car park.
Access times are prearranged and no one will gain entry prior to stated times.
Please ensure that:







All corridors are kept clear.
All fire exits and fire doors are kept clear.
No fire doors are propped open.
Do not hang items on light bulbs.
Smoking is not permitted.
All external doors must be kept closed to ensure your and the building security.
Health and Safety guidance and/or guidance on the use of equipment or working
practices within the Civic Theatre and annexe, which is given by any member of
RMBC Theatre/Arts staff must be adhered to at ALL times. Failure to do so may
result in an individual or company being asked to leave the building.
In the event of the fire alarm being sounded the (RMBC) Stage Manager and the
Duty Front of House Manager will control the situation. You must leave the building
by the nearest exit as directed. Do not stop to take personal belonging with you.
Assemble quickly and quietly in Catherine Street car park so that your company
stage manager can take a roll call based on the names listed on the signing in sheet.
Do not re-enter the building until told to do so by the Duty Front of House Manager.

at the theatre.
