What philosophy should lead a company marketing and selling efforts, and relevant importances should be given to the interests of the company, the customers, and society? These interests often crash, yet a company’s marketing and selling activities should be executed under a reasonable philosophy of effectiveness, efficiency, and socially responsibility. The Definition of The Marketing Concept The marketing concept has become the way of thinking with the customer placed at the centre of the business, in order to generate and maintain valuable customers. Kotler and Armstrong also defined marketing as follows: ●
Marketing is the process by which companies create value for customers and build solid customer relationships in order to achieve value from customers in exchange. The basic Marketing Concept: ●
Companies must create, identify, and satisfy customers' needs and wants in order to earn profits.
