Role of Russia-EU relations in innovation
area
The current stage of Russian-European relations also provides
good basis for cooperation in innovation area:
•
“The Protocol to the Russian-EU Agreement on Partnership and
Cooperation” and “Joint Declaration on Enlargement of EU and
Russia-European Relations” signed in Luxemburg on 27 April 2004
• Two Russia-EU summits took place in 2004 – in Moscow and in Den
Haag, during which the issues of creation of Common European
Economic Space (CEES) were discussed.
• One of the forth part of CEES is Common Space in Science and
Education – the negotiations in this field are completed, and the
document demonstrates keen bilateral interest in cooperation in this
field.
