A.A. Degree: Global Studies Program
The Global Studies Program challenges you to examine history as well as the current process of globalization and
socioeconomic stratification. The program offers an interdisciplinary, limited cohort model, with Global Studies core
courses linked to major requirements from other disciplines. A range of electives will give you a deeper understanding of
how one key area of the globe impacts the rest of the world. The program also offers hands-on experience through
service learning modules. The program helps to prepare you for transfer to UC, CSU, and other four-year institutions in
Global or International Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies. You are encouraged to meet with a counselor to develop a
student educational plan to ensure that all transfer requirements are completed. This program is a stepping stone to a
variety of career options in the international arena.

Associate in Arts Degree in Philosophy for Transfer AA-T Degree
The Associate in Arts in Philosophy for Transfer Degree is designed to prepare students for a seamless transfer with
junior status and priority admission to their local CSU campus to a program or major in Philosophy or similar major for
completion of a baccalaureate degree. Students are required to complete: A minimum of 18 semester units in the major
with a grade of C or better while maintaining a minimum grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 in all CSU
transferable coursework. The Associate Arts in Philosophy for Transfer Degree will also assist Philosophy major
students to transfer to a U.C. or other baccalaureate institutions. Students are advised to consult with a counselor to
verify transfer requirements.

Currently there is a window of opportunity for
students to prepare and fill entry level project
management jobs in the bay area marketplace.
With basic project management fundamentals, a
project manager support skill set, and a Project
Management Institute's (PMI®) Certified Associate
in Project Management, a student would be
qualified to enter the project management job
market as a Project Coordinator or Project
Assistant. These position are in great demand in the
Bay Area with over 200 positions open every month
and offering starting salaries of $27,000-$47,000 in
technology with less than a year of experience
(PayScale.com). There a predicted 18% growth for
project coordinators in the IT industry between 2010
and 2020 (U.S. Bureau of Labor) Statistics)
