Objective
To enable the participants to gain an
appreciation of the issues surrounding
climate change, with emphasis on the
associated benefits of energy efficiency. To
broaden participants’ knowledge on
Singapore’s approach to meet the various
challenges on the environment from the
effects of climate change.
Synopsis and Met hodology
Climate change is a pressing hot topic that
is causing genuine concern on a global
scale. It also heralds environmental
challenges of a different ature in the
modern post-industrial era - the fact that
environmental problems can be intractably
trans-boundary and if left unmitigated, can
lead to apocalyptic consequences. The
course will comprise classroom lectures,
case studies, group discussions and site
visits to ‘Green’ Buildings, Energy R&D
Setups and Co-generation Industries.
