THE COCONUT OIL MIRACLE
HEALTH BENEFITS:
Lipid researchers have slowly been uncovering health benefits of a unique group
of saturated fats found in mother’s milk and coconut oil known as “medium-chain
fatty acids”.
Saturated fats promote good health; one of the earliest oils to be used as a food
and pharmaceutical.
Studies with people who live in tropical climates with a diet high in coconut oil are
healthier and have fewer incidences of heart disease, cancer, digestive
complaints, and prostate problems.
Early studies lacked the essential fats were not included in the diet. Populations
with a high level of VCO consumption always include other oils from vegetables
fish for a more balanced diet. Because of a propaganda campaign by the
American soybean assoc. and center for Science in the Public Interest to replace
tropical oils with soybean oil, as being “heart healthy”.
Saturated fats are classified into two primary categories: 1) long-chain and 2)
short and medium-chain fats. Actually overconsumption of polyunsaturated fats is
more detrimental to our health than the saturated fats found in tropical oils.
VCO contains monolaurin, a unique medium-chain fat available naturally from
mother’s milk and coconut oil. Monolaurin is currently being tested in clinical
trials as a treatment for genital herpes, hepatitis C, and HIV. Early results were
very promising and show possibilities for use as a new weapon in alternative
medicine.
For decades, CO was used in IV solutions to feed critically ill patients. CO used in
hospital to feed patient who have digestive or malabsorption problems.
Major component in baby formula because it provides many nutrients as human
breast milk.
CO used to treat a number of common illnesses and is considered by the FDA to
be a safe, natural food (Listed on FDA’s GRAS list, means generally regarded as
safe).
Coconut use has been observed to heal chronic psoriasis, eliminate dandruff,
remove pre-cancerous skin lesions, speed recovery from the flu, stop bladder
infections, overcome chronic fatigue and relieve hemorrhoids. In addition,
scientific reports its possible use in treating cavities, peptic ulcers, benign
prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate), epilepsy, genital herpes, hepatitis C and
HIV/AIDS.

People of Asia, Pacific Islands, Africa and Central America have used coconut for
centuries and enjoy a remarkable degree of good health, relatively free from the
world.In fact, the more westernized these people become, the more their
diseases mimic those commonly found in the West.
Diseases linked to free radical damage include: heart disease, cancer,
atherosclerosis, stroke, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, hypertension, wrinkled skin,
dermatitis, arthritis, digestive problems, reproductive problems, cataracts, loss of
energy, diabetes, allergies and failing memory.
Coconut oil Is heart healthy and can be used in cooking without fear.
MCFAs in CO are lauric acid, 48%, caprylic acid 8%, capric acid 7%.
Shortening and margerine are two hydrogenated oils that should be completely
eliminated from your diet.
Polyunsaturated oils suppress the immune system making us more vulnerable to
disease and premature aging.
Medium-chain fatty acids in CO give it properties that make it unique and
considered by many to be the healthiest oil on earth.
As a skin lotion and hair conditioner, no other oil can compare. Commercial
creams are predominantly water.
One of the classic signs of old age is the appearance of brown, freckle-like spots
on the skin. This pigment is called lipofuscin. It is also known as aging spots or
liver spots. It is a sign of free-radical deterioration of the lipids (fats) on our skin.
The more spots you have on your skin, the more you have inside your body, and
the more damage or “aging” your tissues have undergone. To some degree you
can judge the damage free radicals have done to the inside of your body by the
size the number of liver spots on your skin.
In some cases, CO can even restore damaged or diseased skin. Precancerous
lesions have been seen to completely disappear with the daily use of CO.
CO is absorbed into the skin and into the cell structure of the connective tissues
limiting the damage excessive sun exposure can cause. Skin remains undamaged
even when exposed to long hours in the hot sun.
While most lotions bring immediate, temporary relief, CO not only brings quick
relief but also aids in the healing and repairing process while others actually
accelerate the aging process.
CO is quickly absorbed into the skin so it doesn’t leave a greasy film.
If dryness or cracking are severe, it is recommended to apply a liberal amount of
CO to the affected area, then wrap it loosely in plastic (so it doesn’t drip all over
the place) before going to sleep at night. In the morning remove the plastic and
wash off the excess oil. Do this every night until the condition improves. A
waterproof, self-adhesive bandage made by 3M, called Tegaderm, makes an
excellent wrapping for this purpose. If the area is the feet, the use of socks can be
very useful. After the feet have healed somewhat, continue to use CO nightly.
The use of socks can be discontinued and don’t worry about your sheets, CO
doesn’t stain.
GERMS
Whether taken internally or applied topically, CO helps to keep skin young,
healthy and free of disease. Acne, ringworm, herpes, boils, athlete’s, foot and
warts are just some of the infectious conditions that can affect the skin and body.
Our skin is more than simply a covering. Healthy skin has a pH of about 5, making
it slightly acidic. The oil our bodies produce, called sebum, is secreted by oil
glands at the root of every hair as well as in other places. Our skin is home to
many tiny organisms, most of which are harmful; some are even beneficial.
Lipiphilic bacteria are essential to the healthy environment on our skin.
Ever wonder why animals lick themselves when they are injured? Instinctively,
injured animals will lick the wound to clean it out and to spread body oils into the
injured tissue. These oils disinfect the wound and protect the animal from
infection. Likewise, when we cut a finger we instinctively put the injured part of
the finger in our mouths. Saliva helps to increase the amount of MCFAs (mediumchain fatty acids) on the skin. Saliva contains an enzyme called lingual lipase which
begins the process of breaking fats down into individual fatty acids. Linking a
wound also mixes saliva with the oils on the skin and hair producing more
medium-chain fatty acids that can help fight infections
When bathing or showering, soap washes the protective layer of oil and acid off
our skin. Often afterward, the skin becomes tight and dry. Adding moisturizers
helps the skin feel better, but it does not replace the acid or the protective MCFAs
that were removed.
HAIR CARE
What CO does for the skin, it can also do for the hair. Two teaspoons of warm CO
into hair before bed, then wash out in the AM. The result is hair that is soft and
shimmering. To warm oil, place bottle in warm water or hold it briefly under hot
running tap water. Beauticians who are familiar with CO swear by it. Treatment
costing $40-80 can be done at home at only a fraction of the cost.
Other applications: A couple of teaspoons applied at night, wash out in AM. OR
Put oil on, wear shower cap, take long bath, wash oil out after an hour, repeat
every few days.
Advantage of hair treatments – controls dandruff.
Great alternative to Retin-A: Medicated cream prescribed by doctors to prevent
acne and improve skin texture. While it improves some benefits, it also causes
undesirable side effects, the worst of which is making the skin hypersensitive to
sunlight.
CO, whether used inside or outside the body provides numerous health benefits.

BETTER HEALTH WITH CO
CO has been recommended for use in the treatment of malnutrition because it
provides a quick and easy source of nutrition without taxing the enzyme systems
of the body. CO stimulates metabolism, produce energy, not make body fat,
increases energy, improves thyroid function, all of which aid in reducing
unwanted body fat.
Ingest 3 to 3 ½ Tablespoons a day orally and skin application of virgin coconut oil.
