THE BATTLE OF TROY
 Took place around 1250 BC.
 Between Mycenae and Troy over

 Story:
 Trojan Prince, Paris, takes the beautiful wife of
Mycenae King, Agamemnon
 Mycenae go to rescue Helen – war lasts 10 years
 The Mycenaean Greeks lay siege to Troy for ten
years, finally taking the city with the famous
Trojan horse.
 This story was told by the 8th century

 The “Hellenic Age” lasted from 750 BC – 336 BC
