written exam once per semester, short paper at the beginning of every lab
5. SCOPE
Lectures
Laboratories
Classification of protocols and their application area. Reference models for
communication protocols. HDLC and SLIP protocols. Link access protocols.
3rd Layer protocols in telecom signaling and networking – DSS-1, PSTN,
Control Protocol, BCC Protocol, Link Control Protocol, Protection Protocol,
TUP and ISUP. TSP/IP and UDP/IP protocol sets. Differences between IPv.4
and IPv.6. Networks Application Protocols: SNMP, FTP, HTTP and NTP.
Data Transmission Technologies: X.25, FR and ATM. Conformance testing
by the meaning of readymade test sets.
Protocol analyzing with the use of K1205 Tektronix protocol tester. Protocol
projecting with use the of K1205 Tektronix protocol tester. Net-5 protocol set
for conformance testing of LAP-D with Q.921 ITU-T Recommendation with
use of the K1195 Tektronix protocol tester. ISDN Services and DSS-1
analyzing with the use of IBT-100 Accterna tester. SNMP, FTP, HTTP and
NTP analyzing with the use of WireShark Network Protocol Analyzer.
Projecting and implementing the own Routing Protocols for WSN.
