1. Change to like denominators (Use the LCM(Least Common Multiple) as
your (LCD)Least Common Denominator)
2. Add or subtract the Numerators
3. Add or subtract the denominators
4. Reduce answer to lowest terms.

1. Change Mixed numbers to improper fractions
2. Find common denominators
3. Add or subtract the numerators

5. Change answer back to a mixed number if needed.
