Delivery times to be ideally from 07:00 to 08:00 and 09:30 to 16:30 to avoid rush
hour.
All deliveries will be on North Lane at the rear of building on the road.
The delivery area will be segregated from traffic with the use of traffic cones and
pedestrian barriers. See location on attached layout plan.
Skip will be placed on the road by the triangle mark with road cones around it, as
discussed with highways. Skip licence will be in place via our Supplier as required.
For roof materials, plant room equipment and any other delivery that requires a lorry
longer than 9m (flatbed lorry size normally 8.1m) the skip will be collected to extend
the delivery area.
Access scaffolding will not protrude over the street, and our Scaffolding
Subcontractor Amber will apply for the relevant licence prior to commencement.
All new roof materials, Mechanical and Electrical equipment will be loaded into the
loading bay by use of high ab lorry from the loading bay area. The loading Bay will
end in line with the pavement edge. During lifting operations an exclusion zone will
be placed and man managed at both ends of the exclusion zone to ensure no
pedestrians or operatives enter the exclusion zone. The foot traffic and the road
traffic will take precedence, if required the lifting operations will stop when safe to do
so ensuring minimum disturbance to pedestrians and road traffic.
Delivery route is in and out from the North Lane following the one way system. No
reversing in or out of site is allowed / required.
The site will be open from 07:30 to 17:00.
A Traffic Marshall will be present / assist all deliveries.
All deliveries that require any means of mechanical lift will follow Balfour Beatty
procedures with a lifting plan in place.
