Acapacitorisadevicewhichisusedtostoreelectriccharge.Thesimplest
capacitorconsistsoftwometalplatesseparatedbyanairgap.Iftheplatesare
connectedtoabattery,electronsareremovedfromoneplateandmovedaround
thecircuittotheotherplate.Thisleavesthefirstplatewithapositivechargeand
theotherwithanegativecharge.Thereisanequalandoppositechargeonboth
plates.Thebiggerthevoltagesuppliedthebiggerthechargethataccumulates.
