PART-­‐TIME ASSISTANT FOR THE USJ ANIMAL FACILITY Description: Applicants are invited to provide services as part-­‐time assistant for the USJ aquatic animal facility. The assistant will participate in tasks related with maintenance of fish tanks and equipment, feeding of animals, monitoring of water tank parameters, checking on animal health conditions, and cleaning and organizing the animal facility space. Qualifications required: We are looking for an organized candidate, preferably with experience in aquaria equipment and maintenance, fish health and husbandry, and water chemistry. Candidates must be fluent in English (Chinese fluency is also valued). Job duties: •

Feed animals; Check animals health condition; Clean and maintain aquaria and related equipment; Clean and organize the aquatic animal facility; Monitor and register water parameters; Help in experiments, if requested. Conditions: •

24 hours per week, including Saturdays. Flexible schedule, to be agreed with the supervisor (Professor David Gonçalves, [email protected]). Start date, immediate. End date, August 31, 2015. Salary: MOP 5.000,00/month. Reporting Responsibilities: The Assistant will regularly report to the lab coordinator, Professor David Gonçalves. If requested, the Assistant will need to provide a written activity report to the lab coordinator. The Research Assistant may also be requested to orally present work related with technical aspects of his/her activity. How to apply: Candidates should send a motivation letter to [email protected].
