2.1 Frame
Self-designed and manufactured frame with all floors covered, optimized design
of loaded structure, anti-torsion box-typed structure, made of high-tension steel.
Boxes in which outriggers are stowed lie between 2nd and 3rd axle and in the rear
of the frame. Front and rear tow-hooks are available.

2.3 Transmission system
2.3.1 Transmission

2.3.3 Driving shafts
Universal-shaft connected by flange, optimizes power transferring, easy to
maintain and convenient to disconnect/ install.
2.3.4 Suspensions
Leaf spring suspension of front axle and leaf spring equalizing suspension of rear
axle

Hydraulic powered mechanical steering.

2.3.7 Brakes
Service brake: dual circuit air brake controlled by foot pedal. Max. working
pressure is 0.8Mpa. 1st circuit acts on the wheels of 1st and 2nd axle, 2nd circuit
acts on the wheels of 3rd and 4th axle.
Parking brake: air release brake, acts on the wheels of two rear axles by spring
loaded air chambers respectively on each axle.
Auxiliary brake: engine exhaust brake.
2.4 Carrier cab
Full dimension, fully enclosed cab, good sealing, anti-vibration and corrosionproof. 3 windshield wipers, rear vision mirrors of large view, electric control
window washers, safety glasses, electric lifts of door and window, heater with
defrosting device, adjustable pilot seats, air conditioner, radio-cassette player and
a dust bin are available. Left-hand steering wheel is adjustable for height and

inclination.
2.5 Hydraulic system
A 4-pump connected to engine through transmission and PTO provides hydraulic
power for lifting operation. Hydraulic tank capacity: 370L.
2.6 Hydraulic outriggers
4 hydraulic outriggers can be hydraulically operated. There is a control console on
each side of the carrier respectively. Levels for leveling the vehicle are available.
The outrigger floats are stowed under the jacks. Outriggers are designed to raise
the vehicle for operations in all kinds of working condition.
Outrigger span (longitudinal×transversal): approx.5.65m×6.6m.
5th outrigger jack: located under the front of the vehicle frame for 360º operation
of the boom.
2.7 Electrical equipment
24V DC, negative ground, 2 batteries. Lighting device comprises of front
headlamp, fog light and reversing light etc., complied with the relative regulations
in China National Standard.
2.8 Tool
A set of maintenance tool is available.
3. Crane Superstructure
3.1 Slewing mechanism
The roller slewing bearing as the connection of the carrier and the crane
superstructure can rotate 360º continuously. The roller bed is sealed to resist
water and dust.
3.2 Turntable
Designed and manufactured by XCMG, equivalent stress and tapered cross-section
box-type structure, made of high tension steel.
3.3 Hydraulic system
A constant replacement 4-pump is powered by chassis engine through
transmission and PTO. Superstructure hydraulic system is pilot open oil circuit
control with ferrule-type connecting piping. The main control valve is load
sensitive proportional multi-way valve, with shock-proof valve and air-corrosion
resistant valve fitted in each change valve. The pilot control valve uses imported
proportional pressure relief valve. The moving angle of the pilot valve handle has
direct ratio with the valve output pressure, so the whole machine has fine motion
control. Moreover, the load sensitive valve enables the working speed of
functional parts have no relation with load, so that reduce the operating difficulty
and lighten labor intensity for operator. Operations such as hoist up/down, swing,
elevating or telescoping can be carried out by hydraulic system.
Hydraulic oil tank: approx. 400L.
3.3.1 Oil cooler
Oil cooler installed in hydraulic system in series prolongs the useful life of

hydraulic oil, increases the working life of hydraulic parts.
3.4 Control
Conventional control is carried out by 2 self-centering 4-way joysticks in the
carrier cab. All movements of the crane are controlled by pilot control through
hydraulic pump and proportional valve. stepless speed variation is available.
3.5 Main winch
Main winch is controlled by open oil circuit. Variable-displacement motor,
compact and high performance professionally made planetary gear reducer with
wet brake, drum with special rope groove and rotation resistance wire rope are
available.

Wire rope length: approx.180m
Max. single line speed: approx. 110m/min.
3.6 Auxiliary winch:
Auxiliary winch is controlled by open oil circuit. Variable-displacement motor,
compact and high performance professionally made planetary gear reducer with
wet brake, drum with special rope groove and rotation resistance wire rope are
available.

Wire rope length: approx.125m
Max. single line speed: approx. 110m/min.
3.7 Elevating system
Boom elevation is driven by one differential cylinder with a balancing valve.
Elevating angle: -2º~ 78º
Elevating time: approx.88s
3.8 Slewing mechanism
Constant displacement motor, compact and high performance planetary gear
reducer with wet brake is available. It has the function of free-slide. The slewing
of the superstructure is driven by external toothing ring. Stepless speed regulation
is from 0 to 2 rpm.
3.9 Telescoping boom
Made of high tension structural steel, torsion proof, consists of one base boom and
4 telescoping sections with U-typed cross-section. Adjustable spacers supporting
main boom are available. The main boom is telescoped in sequence plus
synchronization by two double-action reciprocating hydraulic cylinder plus wire
ropes. 6 sheaves on boom top are standard equipment.

Boom length: 10.7m ~ 40.1m
Telescoping time: (10.7m ~ 40.1m) approx. 180s.
3.10 Crane cab
Streamlined fully enclosed crane cab, good sealing and corrosion-proof, safe and

comfortable. A large front window with sun shutter has no blind area. Wipers on
front and roof windows, safety glasses, adjustable seats, joysticks on the armrests
of the seats and an open outside door are available. Standard controllers and
indicators are arranged ergonomically.
3.11 Safety devices
Safety devices in hydraulic system are two-way hydraulic lock, counterbalance
valve, relief valve.
XCMG PAT Safety control system: adopts advanced micro-processor technology
and embedded operating system, powerful function, less power consumption, high
sensitivity and easy to operate. Large screen liquid crystal indicator shows lifting
operation data in the way of Chinese and chart such as moment percentage, real
lifting capacity, rated lifting capacity, working radius, boom length/angle, max.
lifting height, working condition code, parts of line, limited angle, error code, etc.
Warning and overload control effectively prevents accident during lifting
operation. Special angle limit makes reliable operation in complex working
condition. Overload memory (black box) is available.
XCMG PAT Safety control system includes indicator, center controller, length
/angle /pressure sensors, overhoist switch, etc.
Rope-end limiter switch makes three turns of rope left on the drum.
Hoist limiter switch keep the lifting operation in specified limit.
3.12 Counterweight
Fixed on the rear of the turntable.
Weight: 4800kg.
3.13 Lattice folding jib
Made of high tension steel, two-section.
It is stowed along the side of the boom when the vehicle is traveling on road.
Jib length: 8.5m and 15m.
3.14 Hook blocks
Main hook block: 6 sheaves-- 515 kg
Auxiliary hook block: no sheave--210 kg
3.15 Color
Carrier, rim and hub: dark grey.
