The Fleet Sales Consultant communicates and sells new vehicles to our local business/fleet buyers. Directly
reporting to the New Vehicle Manager/s the position involves identifying and contacting prospective fleet buyers
from within our primary marketing area, Understanding and recognizing their vehicle needs, developing business
proposals based around these requirements, and delivering value adding propositions to these potential
customers. The Fleet Sales Consultant’s most important means of interacting with customers and prospects is
through face-to-face meetings, requiring a high level of customer contacts and visitations.
The Fleet Sales Consultant is primarily responsible in achieving new and existing customer contact quota’s, new
vehicle sales and profit targets across our 3 x main brands Holden, Nissan and Hyundai.
Job Responsibilities
 Identify and prospect new business/fleet customers from within our primary marketing area.
 Understanding the customers objectives, buying criteria and decision making processes
 Building rapport and forming long term business relationships
 Lead all aspects of the sales process, from prospect through to delivery.
 Promote a subset of company products and services to assigned opportunities, with successful
introductions to Car Care and Finance.
 Assist other sales and services resources when required.
 Attend various business and industry events as required.
Key Performance Indicators
 Achieve weekly prospecting quotas
 Achieve monthly sales targets
 Meet profit per vehicle sold objectives
 Achieve new account acquisition targets
 Meet minimum Customer Satisfaction targets
 Complete required training and development objectives within expected time frames
Working Conditions
 This position will require frequent local travel
 Candidates must have a valid driver’s license
 Sales Consultants are expected to work to performance based targets, and are accordingly remunerated
based on the achievement of those targets. The ability to work effectively and efficiently and to cope
within a demanding, results based work environment is an essential requirement of the sales function.
Experience
 Previous Automotive/Retail Sales essential
 Previous experience in B2B sales highly desirable
 Exceptional communication skills
 A highly professional approach
 A strong work ethic.
