POSITION OVERVIEW
The Marketing Department aims to effectively plan and execute the conception, pricing, promotion and
distribution of goods and services provided by Henry Schein Halas so as to produce the greatest long term
profit.
The Marketing Assistant plays a role in forecasting and initiating these initiatives, and is responsible for their
coordination, to bring about the most favourable outcome.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Tasks and Responsibilities:

Gift programs - sourcing, order processing, code management, stock maintenance and problem solving
Maintenance of competition folder
SOX testing quarterly
Distribution of brochures to staff in Sydney and other branches
Services invoices – purchase orders, sign off, coding, filing, ensuring timely payment (this includes all
areas of the business including Speciality and non- inventory supplier set up.
Assistance to the Marketing Director when required
Ordering and distribution of pull up banners, stationery, brochure stands and table cloths, magnetic
name badges.
Maintenance and administration of Rep pack distribution
Maintenance of compactus and marketing area in the warehouse
Circulation of magazines
SEC promo activities reporting quarterly
Assistance with trade shows and events
General support to the Marketing Department
General assistance to the Brand Management team when required – this includes the Equipment Brand
Managers who are interstate and may need regular help.

Collation of all marketing material including Everything Equipment, Everything Dental, Everything Lab,
Everything Oral Care, Scheining Prices, Clearance and all other publications.
Proof reading of all material going to print

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
•
This position will be working in an office environment, utilizing typical office equipment. The majority of
time will be spent on the telephone and computer. May involve some out of office time visiting suppliers.

SKILLS
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
• Prior experience in a marketing assistant role (preferred)
• Tertiary qualifications incorporating studies in marketing,
communications, desktop publishing, or related discipline
• Strong administration skills and high attention to detail
• Knowledge of the dental industry preferred
• Strong computer and database skills – proficient in Microsoft Word
and PowerPoint, with additional knowledge of Excel, Front Page and
HTML being helpful
• Sound interpersonal and teamwork skills, including: the ability to foster
productive working relationships with staff at all levels; a co-operative
and flexible work style; and a commitment to learning and
development
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously when required, and
independently manage a personal workload having regard to team
and organisational needs, deadlines, and performance measures
• High level of maturity
