Cisco Identity Services Engine Express
Give your guests highly secure network access and enterprise-level services for less.
Cisco® Identity Services Engine Express, or Cisco ISE Express, is a comprehensive licensing bundle that offers an
entry-level solution at a heavily discounted price. It provides highly secure enterprise-level guest services, including
hotspot, sponsored, and self-registration portals.
The solution offers an easy introduction to the full Cisco Identity Services Engine. It can be sold by non-Authorized
Technology Provider Partners, and it can be upgraded to support more endpoints and other ISE services.
The bundle includes Cisco ISE Base licensing for 150 endpoints, an ISE virtual machine, unlimited access to the
ISE Portal Builder, and a quick installation guide.

You can provide multiple levels of access to your networks with out-of-the-box simplicity. Guests can use a coffeeshop hotspot or self-service registered access or sponsored access to specific resources, internal or external.
With our dynamic visual tools, you can see previews of the portal screens and the steps that a user experiences.
You can test how changes will affect the settings in sponsored guest accounts, self-registrations, and SMS and
email confirmations of access.
Cisco ISE Express gives you:

Unlimited use of the ISE Portal Builder: Create portals in 17 languages with this web-based tool. The
suite of 10 designer templates is easily customizable and easily exportable to Cisco ISE.

Installation Wizard: Simplify the installation of ISE and your wireless controller. Easily provision hotspot,
self-registered, or sponsored services. Modify guest portals with logos and colors.
Secure Access
Cisco ISE Express uses standard RADIUS protocol for authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA). It
supports a wide range of authentication protocols, including, but not limited to, PAP, MS-CHAP, Extensible
Authentication Protocol (EAP)-MD5, Protected EAP (PEAP), EAP-Flexible Authentication via Secure Tunneling
(FAST), EAP Transport Layer Security (TLS) and EAP-Tunneled Transport Layer Security (TTLS). Cisco ISE is the
only RADIUS server to support EAP chaining of machine and user credentials.

Licensing
Cisco ISE Express is available in a bundle that includes one Cisco ISE virtual appliance and 150 Base licenses for
guest services.
The virtual appliance is for a single-site deployment (non-distributed, no high availability). Note that a TACACS+
(device administration) license is not included in the bundle.
The part number for Cisco ISE Express is R-ISE-GST-BUN-K9=.
Platform Support and Compatibility
Cisco ISE virtual appliances are supported on VMware ESXi 5.x and 6.x or KVM* on Red Hat 7.x. A production
deployment should be run on hardware that equals or exceeds the configurations of the current physical ISE
platforms. System requirements information for both lab and production environments can be found in ISE 2.0
Hardware Installation Guide.
