1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says; What? know ye not that
your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in
you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in
your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Romans 12:1 says; I beseech you therefore, brethren, by
the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your
reasonable service.

 The body is made up of cells. How we feel and how well our body
functions depends on how efficiently each cell in your body is working
 Nutrition is simply the study of what foods can help our bodies to
function at their best. In other words it’s the fuel that our bodies run
on
 There are three types of food essential for the cells of the body to
operate properly
 Carbohydrates : quick source of energy for the body
 Protein : one benefit of protein is the building and repairing of body
tissues
 Vitamins, minerals, etc : for regulating the body processes
 What foods should be eaten to obtain a balanced diet that will provide
the nutrients necessary for our bodies to function at its best?
God outlined His plan for nutrition when He created man. Genesis
1:29 “And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed,
which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is
the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
Which was fruits, nuts and grain.
After the fall God added “…
and thou shalt eat the herb of
the field” vegetables.
But can we obtain all the necessary nutrients from God’s original diet
for man?

Grains, fruits, nuts, and vegetables constitute the diet chosen for us
by our Creator. These foods, prepared in as simple and natural a
manner as possible, are the most healthful and nourishing. They
impart a strength, a power of endurance, and a vigor of intellect that

In grains, fruits, vegetables, and nuts are to be found all the food
elements that we need.

eyes, the nervous system, etc

fruits and vegetables. It helps the immune system helping
the body’s defence against infections and disease

Sunlight exposure is important to our feeling of well being.
This vitamin also helps in the absorption and use of calcium
for strong bones and teeth, a healthy immune system, etc. It
is present in raw spinach and carrots. Obviously care must be
taken with regards to over-exposure
