Pierce College Putman/Biol 241 Lab Practical 3: Hints! Lab Practical 3 will be very similar to Lab Practical 1 as it will test your ability to identify gross anatomy. You will be asked to identify muscles (and tendons, ligaments, aponeuroses and retinacula) and the principle actions of muscles listed in the Lab 9 SGOs. You will be given an answer sheet with 40 blanks on which to write your answers. Thirty questions will be over the gross anatomy of the muscular system. You will be asked to identify a particular muscle (or structure) and write the name of the muscle (or tendon, ligament, aponeurosis or retinaculum) down on the answer sheet. Be prepared to identify muscles (or tendons, ligaments, aponeuroses and retinacula) on models, diagrams, cross sections, photographs of models, photographs of cadaver preparations, etc. If you have learned the muscles using the materials provided, you should do well. Ten questions will be over principal actions of major muscles as given in the SGOs. There won’t be any histology slides on this practical. No multiple choice, term sheets, 3x5 cards or other “memory aides” are allowed; all identifications must be from memory. Practical 3 is worth 80 points total. Refer to the SGOs of Lab 9 for exactly which muscles (and tendons, ligaments, aponeuroses and retinacula) and actions you need to know. Putman/Pierce College Biol 241 09x Hints/20140926
