I’m a real “powerhouse.”
That’s plain to see.
I break down food to
release energy (ATP)
I’m the “brain” of the
cell.
Or so they say.
I regulate activities from
day to day.
Proteins are made here,
Even though I’m quite
small
You can find me in the
cytoplasm or attached to
the E.R.’s wall.
Since I contain many
enzymes, I can digest an
injured cell; And can
break a down large
molecule into a smaller
one as well.
Stacks of membranes is
what we are. We look
like a pile of pancakes.
We are the place you
would go for packaging
and shipping out.
I’m strong and nonliving.
Getting through me is
tough. I’m found only in
plants, but I guess that’s
enough.
I’m a series of tubes,
found throughout the
cell. I transport proteins
and other things as well
Found only in plant cells,
I’m as green as can be. I
make food for plants,
using the sun’s energy
I’ve been called “storage
tanks” by those with
little tast. I’m a
container filler with
water, food, enzymes or
waste.
Found only in animal
cells, at right angles we
sit. We help in cell
division. Can you guess
it?
I’m found between the
nucleus and the cell
membrane as well.
Jellylike fluid where
chemical reactions take
place, and cell organelles
dwell.
I’m full of holes, Flexibile
and thin. I control what
gets out, as well as what
comes in.
