Speaking and Demonstration Contest
The Speaking and Demonstration Contest will be held on March 31 in the Courthouse
Demonstration Room. Everyone is asked to arrive at 9 am. Entry categories include:
*Demonstration (show how to make or do something)
*Illustrated Talk (use visual aids or poster to describe something)
*Original Speech (written by speaker, any topic)
*Interpretive Reading (any selection read by the presenter)
*Memorized Prose, Poetry, or Story Telling
All categories can be entered individually or as a team. Age categories and time limits
for all categories are:
Grades 3-5: 2-5 minutes
Grades 6-8: 5-10 minutes
Grades 9-13: 10-12 minutes.
