EXPANSION BOARDS MODULE & KIT OF SUB-MODULES FOR THE STUDY OF PHOTOVOLTAIC SOLAR ENERGY –
didactic equipment
Didactic system that must provide the students with a set of basic concepts oriented to the study of alternative
energy and energetic efficiency.
The modules constituting this didactical board shall be specifically aimed at representing, in a specific and
reduced form, a wider and more complex system addressed mainly to the study of photovoltaic energy.
This trainer must be composed of a development module that will contain 9 free slots on which electronic
expansion sub-boards can be inserted.
Each slot must contain two 10-pins connectors in the upper part and one 10-pin connector in the lower part
and these connectors will give access to the internal input and output points of the sub-boards.
The module will be also provided with connectors for the power supply of the sub-boards.
The trainer must be provided with a power supply with the following outputs: +15Vdc, +5Vdc.
This system of sub-modules must be designed to provide training on basic electronics, in an easy and
progressive way.
In general terms, this system must be composed of:
•
Sub-module (2 off) with photovoltaic solar cell, for exercises with cells in both series and parallel
configuration.
•
Sub-module with multifunction display, for the visualization of the measurements.
•
Sub-module with charge regulator, that can be connected to an external solar panel and to the battery.
•
Sub-module with breadboard, for the realization of circuits with components such as photodiodes.
•
Sub-module with battery controller to control the charge of the battery (it includes the external
battery).
•
Sub-module for comparing the efficiency of different light sources; it includes a light sensor,
incandescent lamps and LED.
•
Sub-module with voltage regulators.
•
Sub-module with current regulator and relay circuit, to switch between battery and power supply when
the
battery is out of charge.
•
Solar panel, 5W
•
Small fan (load)
•
Power supply (5 Vdc and 15 Vdc)
Quantity
With this trainers it must be possible to perform the following exercises:
